Porto de Mós is a long golden sandy beach between cliffs and clear blue sea. The beach at Porto de Mós faces into the full power of the Atlantic ocean. This often makes for good surfing. Altough not very consistent waves which only work with a very big swell on the west coast, usually in the winter months. Under such conditions this creates the so-called 'Barrinha righ-hander' in an opening next to the boat entrance.
