The southwest coast of Portugal is a paradise for surfers. The waves that circulate across the Atlantic are perfect for surfing. The Odeceixe beach is located in the small village of Odeceixe, which is known for its alternative lifestyle, with a culture linked to the environment, ecology and well-being. The beach is composed of an extensive sand tongue and protected by high cliffs, both north and south, is one of the classics of the area. Bathed, on one side, by the Ribeira de Odeceixe and the other by the sea. During low tide small lagoons are formed in the sand. The beach has a bottom that varies depending on the deposition of the sands. During the tidal period, special attention is needed to the currents in the area where the sea and the river cross.
