Not many people come to Bordeira beach so it is peaceful. Surfers flock to this part of the Algarve, drawn by the consistent swells that regularly hit the fantastic beache. A top wave in the region and a consistent spot for experienced surfers. A beach break with powerful waves which in a large swell can produce strong rips. During low water there is a good quality and long left hander that pitches a nice peak then rolls its way down the cliffs at the southern end of the beach. During high water there is a river mouth break that offers punchy right hand barrels. Only supervised in the summer season.
