The Mareta, located in the center of the village, is the favorite destination for those who are taking their first steps in surf. The beach is wide and the waves smaller and fun. Mareta is typically a beach for winter surf, when waves are ideal for surfing. In fact, even if the waters are a bit cold, the beach still attracts many surfers. The beach is quite sheltered from the wind and with peaks all along. Generally not much of crowd except on exceptionally good wave days.
